Sins of Their Fathers is a trilogy that follows the brutal coming of age of two different people in the American south, each with their own battles and scars.

Do the conditions of our lives define us, or are we in control of our fate? This is the question at the center of this trilogy, and the longing that defines Brady, Penny, Dominique, Buck, Tomkins, Genevieve, Amanda, Randall, and even Typewriter, the patron saint of bums on the American Railroad. But maybe grit alone isn’t enough. Maybe it is the goodness and beauty that others see in us that delivers us to redemption in the end. And maybe the things we’ve wanted most deeply come delivered in a package we never would’ve expected, and it is our holy responsibility to learn to recognize it when it arrives.
